Internship at Shanghai Zhiliang Optoelectronics Technology Co
Shanghai | May – July 2024
Responsibilities:
- Product design (Solidworks) of linear stages and optical equipment
- Collaborated with the engineering team to implement design changes based on feedback
- Create documentation and mechanical drawings
Achievements:
- Miniaturised and simplified linear stage designs, cutting down on complexity of assembly and machining time
- Improved swappability of optical equipment, cutting down experimentation setup time.
- Developed strong skills in Solidworks and design for CNC
Internship at Simple Technologies
Singapore | September – December 2023
Responsibilities:
- Product design for a miniature spectrometer with data collection & spectral analysis
- Engage potential customers & followup on sales at ITAP (Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific) 2023
Achievements:
- Successfully implemented a computer system to automate data collection from a spectrometer and perform spectral analysis using custom written Python-based software.
